The CymaScope Light – Coming Soon!

CymaScope Light is currently in development, with deposits now being accepted for estimated delivery within 12 weeks of order.

This is the world’s first fully portable CymaScope, designed for both field research and live performance. It can run on internal batteries or via a low-voltage external power supply, making it equally suitable for laboratories, studios, and on-stage use.

The system includes an integral 1280p Wi-Fi camera for use with iPad or Android tablets, which can be mirrored to a computer screen or projector. For large-scale projection work, the integral camera can be removed and replaced with a 4K DSLR camera (recommended). This configuration has been used by John Stuart Reid in live performance to visualise and project sound from a 300-person choir onto large screens.

Microphone and line-level inputs are included.
For live music use, an external audio compressor is recommended (not supplied).
For scientific applications, a 30-band graphic equaliser is recommended to calibrate frequency response.
